ABOUT KAHIKI

Kahiki is a talented and versatile musician whose musical journey began at age 14 in Paris, starting with electric guitar and a passion for punk and heavy metal. By 16, he formed a heavy metal band with friends but soon shifted his focus to acoustic guitar, honing his skills in subtlety and precision. After studying Production and Arrangement at the American Music Institute in Paris under the mentorship of Shannon Murray (saxophonist for Tower of Power and Toto), Kahiki returned to Rarotonga at 20 with a mission to grow as a musician.

Now a sought-after wedding band and solo artist in Rarotonga and Aitutaki, Kahiki blends roots, rock, and reggae influences to create a soulful and captivating sound reminiscent of artists like Ben Harper and John Mayer. His performances feature acoustic, electric, and slide guitar, delivering heartfelt and energetic live music that perfectly complements weddings and special events in the Cook Islands.

Kahiki’s debut album, No Man’s Plan, showcases his unique style with original tracks full of emotion and life, many of which are featured in local advertising. Whether performing solo or with his band, Kahiki brings an authentic and joyful vibe to your wedding celebration, making your special day unforgettable.
